THE EUROPEAN UNION OF NATIONAL PEDIATRIC SOCIETIES (EPA/UNEPSA) ADVOCATING FOR CHILDREN’S RIGHT TO HEALTH
Over the past few years, an increasing number of European pediatricians, particularly primary care pediatricians, are facing the growing threat of vaccine hesitancy and refusal, a sort of a “cultural epidemic,” which seems to progressively affect the families of children under their care.
The European Union of National Pediatric Societies (EPA/UNEPSA) takes position against Vaccine refusal and hesitancy in an article published in the August issue of the prestigious Journal of Pediatrics (J.Pediatrics 2016; 175: 248-249e1), in an effort to further raise the awareness of pediatricians on this potential threat for their communities, and in particular for children under their care.
