We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to bring to your attention an important and timely petition aimed at addressing a critical issue in infant care: the use of images of sleeping babies in commercial or official contexts that do not adhere to safe sleeping recommendations.

The urgency of this matter was brought to our attention  by representatives of the Centre of Research in Epidemiology and Statistics (CRESS), which recently conducted a comprehensive assessment of images featured on diaper packages across Europe. The findings are deeply concerning:

Among 311 diaper packages depicting sleeping babies, a staggering 79% of these images were found to be inconsistent with safe infant sleep recommendations.
